Pencils of Promise is an American non-governmental organization that helps to bring education to children who might not have access to it on their own, by building schools in hign-need communities. Founded in October of 2008, Pencils of Promise is active in countries in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America.

EDUCA-Ecuador
EDUCA-Ecuador is a project launched by an American charitable organization called CARE. It works with various governmental and non-govermental bodies in Ecuador to make sure that all of Ecuador's people receive a primary education, regardless of gender or financial standing.

The Khan Academy
The Khan Academy is a free, educational website founded by Salman Khan in 2009. In terms of basic education, this website is very effective with providing children with basic arithmetic lessons in the form of videos.
