Hi, my name is Alexa Annecca and I am so happy to be a part of the 2017 Ecuador Mission trip experience!!:)) I focus most of my time on athletics and academics, and travelling is something I have always loved to do. Outside of school, I am a rep soccer player and a provincial speed skater. I am also a two-time member of Team Ontario and competed at the Canadian Championships alongside some of my amazing friends I’ve met through these competitions and national events. Through this next year I will have the support of my parents, friends, and family, and I would like to thank them for all the encouragement they have given me to embark on this exciting journey. Over the course of the year, I hope to learn more about life in Ecuador compared to here in Canada and see the world from another perspective. I’m very excited to create so many new friendships and make memories/experiences that will last a lifetime!!!
Hi, I’m Sophie, and I am SO excited to be a part of the Ecuador team! I am a positive person who loves hanging with friends, listening to music, taking pictures and being active. Through this trip, I can’t wait to make new friends and experience a different culture. It will be amazing to gain a broader perspective of the world by helping those in Ecuador! I would like to thank my family, friends, and all those who are encouraging and helping me along this journey. I know it will be such a memorable experience. Let’s get started!!!
Hi I’m Karolina Bejmert, 16 years old and seeking adventure. I am very excited to start this journey with all these amazing people on the team. A few things you should know about me to start with are that I am bilingual, I speak fluent Polish, I love the outdoors, and enjoy painting. Also, I play a few different sports including rowing, volleyball, flag football, and ultimate frisbee. I strive to do my best at everything that I do and make my life memorable. Going on this mission trips will help me do just that. I wish to be a physiotherapist when I am older, and want to go to university in Australia. I have big plans for my future but being a teenager with little money and having to wait until I am “old enough” for certain things, I have not been able to do a lot. Traveling is one of the things I dream of doing when I am older. I am already developing plans to travel to Europe and Poland with my boyfriend when we graduate. Going on this trip will give me a the chance to start this dream of mine and teach me a few life lessons on the way. I am glad to be going on this trip with already a few of my good friends and a few of my favorite teachers, which I thank for the opportunity to be on this team, and hopefully I make some new friends, make new memories, and open my eyes to the world.
Hi, I’m Rebecca Cano and I enjoy music, sports, travelling, and spending time with my friends and family. The 2017 Ecuador Experience is an absolutely wonderful program and I am so thankful for being selected to be a part of this team. I am looking forward to the year ahead and I hope to meet new people, create friendships that will last a lifetime, and to make the world a better place. I am thrilled to be apart of a new family, and very excited to see what this once in a lifetime opportunity will bring me.
Hello I’m Caroline Casini :), I enjoy collecting memorable and fun quotes; a recent quote I've stumbled upon is: “someone once told me that bad news was just good news in disguise and even though things look bad, there is always a rainbow around every corner.” - Sid the sloth. I also enjoy rowing, reading, and making new friends! I would like to thank my parents, family and overall supporters for encouraging me to excel in this fantastic adventure. Over the course of the year I hope to learn more about Ecuador, and to explore new doors that will expand my way of viewing different situations. I'm super thrilled to join in on the 2017 Ecuador Mission trip experience!!!!

Some of my hobbies include playing a variety of sports, spending time with family and friends, learning new things, and challenging myself. Hi, I’m Deanna! I would describe myself as a very positive, open-minded person. I really enjoy playing the ukulele, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends, family, and pets! I have been hoping to participate in a mission trip like this for years, since my sister travelled to India with Me to We in 2012. Now that I have finally been granted the opportunity to do so, I cannot believe it’s actually happening! I would like to thank my family and friends, for being so supportive of my decision to participate in this mission trip. Also, I especially want to thank my sister, for inspiring me to take part in this experience, and to make an impact on the world. The fact that the rest of the team and I are able to experience a totally new culture and make a difference in Ecuador, is absolutely incredible. I am beyond excited, and ready to embark on this journey filled with amazing learning experiences, and global change!

Hi, am Domenica and I'm very honored to be apart of the 2017 Ecuador Team. It's always been a dream of mine to do a mission trip and be able to give back to the world. I also have other interests like playing volleyball, volunteering and reading. I wouldn't be here today to tell you about myself if it wasn't for my parents who have supported me from the start, or the amazing teachers that have given me the opportunity to go on this trip. I am most excited to be apart of this team and share memories that will last a lifetime.
Hi I’m Emma DesLauriers! I’m beyond thrilled to be a part of this amazing adventure and make new friends along the way. I love to travel, play sports, dance, hang out with friends and volunteer. My parents have probably been the biggest supporters of me throughout my life and are always encouraging of me to try new things. What I’m most excited about for the Ecuador Mission Trip is to get to experience a new culture as well as truly making a difference, while sharing those memories with the team! I’d like to be able to gain a greater appreciation for the world we live in through my own eyes. Can’t wait to see what this trip has to offer :)
To start off, my name is Logan Elliott and I was born on February 7th, 2000 (making me nearly sixteen years old at the time of writing this). I grew up in Barrie, but after Grade 7 I moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands with my mom. There, I picked up a few interests/hobbies that I continue to enjoy including photography, debate, environmental conservation and wakeboarding. I moved back just in time to start Grade 10 here at St. Pete’s and am so far having blast! I’ve picked up volleyball again, got interested in football, and am now part of the Ecuador team. I’d like to thank my parents and extended family for all the support I know I’ll get from them over the coming year and a bit, and I look forward to making them proud. During this experience, I hope to learn more about Ecuador’s culture and the challenges that some of those who live there face. While I’m there, I want to be immersed in the culture and be able to live like the people there do so that I can gain an even better appreciation for all the luxuries that we may take for granted here in Canada.
My name is Noelle Elliot. I’m in grade eleven and I am beyond ecstatic to have been given the amazing opportunity of Ecuador 2017! I would like to thank my family and all those close to me for supporting me and giving me continual encouragement through this experience. By being a part of the Ecuador team I’m hoping to learn more about different cultures and try as many new things as possible!
Hi! My name is Mackenzie Gray, and I am so excited and honoured to be chosen to be a part of this amazing experience. I am also very athletic, and play a variety of sports including flag football, basketball, frisbee and badminton. I am so lucky to have the support of my friends and family as I embark on this year-long journey, and have a solid group of people who will be beside me every step of the way. During the next year I am so excited to make new friends, learn about a new culture, and experience a way of life completely different from my own. I have been actively involved in other Me to We operations, including fundraising to build a well in China. Being able to travel to Ecuador and make a change in people’s lives is something I've always wanted to do, and I am so thankful for this opportunity.
